I’m building on ATProto because it’s a unique, different primordial soup, and I want to be there and involved when new life forms start emerging out of this multi-app data substrate.

The #Atproto community surprised me. I'd never seen such a hopeful *and* earnest group of people working in technology. But then again, the web standards movement in the early aughts inspired me to spend the last twenty years working in and around internet software.

yeah!! event blocks would be cool to implement ahead of #atmosphereconf
as for commenting permissions, i’m thinking that’s a bit different from private comments. bluesky already lets you set who can comment/respond… i was thinking something along those lines
ooh and then that could be an @margin.at integration??
or like annotation-style
permissioned in-line commenting (like google docs) would also be swell
i feel like having rich event embeds/blocks and more cross-compatibility could go a long way. maybe a @semble.so collection that automatically compiles all standard.site publications that link to an event??
do y’all have event integration with @smokesignal.events etc. yet?
I guess we gotta repeat it for the folks in the back:
I've never seen a project like Blacksky over years of watching social platforms. It's remarkable in many ways.
That Blacksky is out in front on both community and technical leadership is something the Atmosphere is incredibly fortunate to have.
