i think a lot of younger people are pretty tech illiterate, computer usage was only the norm for a section of younger millenials and gen z, kids now grow up on hyper streamlined, mechanically opaque phones and tablets, which kind of mystifies things like emulation and torrenting to them

given how much thats been a part of my life, i dont think my art could ever be grounded in much else beyond that, im always gonna be a grown ass man pretending he's playing with toys

as a kid i used to draw characters front and back on paper and cut them out to use as little action figures, either because toys of them were too expensive or straight up didn't exist
i think as an adult, i'm still doing some form of that with my art
