Thank you !! I was less confident this morning but I was very active today in sorting things out — I remain hopeful too !!

A lot is said about my disabilities and that’s great and all, but in the meantime it’s precariousness everywhere and it’s definitely not helping my health

I’d rather confront things head on, as scared as I am about it all, because this situation cannot continue

A lot of work is going on behind the scenes since I’m also looking for at least a part time job on the side

It’s going to tighten up the belt quite a bit to have being a freelance artist and also a job on the side but I don’t have the luxury of waiting for the State help process to finish

Yeah it’s definitely circumstantial, usually what I do is specify as well that it’s not about an interpersonal issue or something so it doesn’t cause that stress spike for people

It really is haha, I feel more comfortable knowing what I’m dealing with right off the bat

It’s why whenever I talk to people if I am asking for a favour or anything like that I just state outright what it is

“I need to talk to you” ok you’re kinda unfairly banking on the need for clarity here, but ultimately it depends on what we’re going to be talking about

Might be ok to talk about a subject but not another but if I answer it’s expected to be receptive to any outcome

I cracked the code and realised, beyond the bot aspect, why I dislike “hey” single word messages so much

It’s the same reason as to why I dislike “can I ask for a favour”/“I need to talk to you” without additional context: you’re not giving the person agency to engage depending on the topic

I keep in mind too that 99% of us aren’t media trained either, and/or aren’t trained public speakers, so things come out way more erratically instead of being voiced in a more diplomatic and/or formal manner

That train of thought emerged after a bit of self-derision while chatting with Kim and Jaws on stream

I was joking about how bitchy we could be haha, but thinking about it a bit more there’s an underlying climate that explains some of it

I can’t wait for the day(s) where I have a bit more visibility and stability

I often think about all the things I’ll do to make the flat properly feel like home and all the lesser stress

I think introspection is fertile political soil as any reactionary movement (and attitude) seeks to remove self-actualisation as much as possible

Being able to critically examine yourself is a huge step towards being good at critical thinking in general

Helping to make the world a better place starts with ourselves after all !

We cannot expect to improve the world by taking a good, critical look at it if we aren’t willing to do so with our own behaviour

That topic was probably discussed by academics before, but it’s definitely one I want to put to the forefront a bit more and elaborate on because this era of thoughtlessness and self-centredness cannot continue
