Just now, after more than a decade, realized that it’s just Bloodstone, singular. #metalsky
Bloodstones & Diamonds is a very underrated album #metalsky
Guys it’s happening!
Every week my Discover Weekly is full of early2000s/late90s Roadrunner NWOAHM, Groove and Nu-Metal. I mean, every now and then that’s fine but I don’t understand how Spotify gets the impression that I want to listen to hours and hours of Chimaira, DevilDriver and Static-X every week. #metalsky
Yeah I can’t wait to hear new stuff from them. So sad that we are never going to hear new music with Brent Hinds’ weird voice again.
I hadn’t listened to it in a while and forgot how solid that record is.
Mastodon ranked:
9. Hushed And Grim
8. Call Of The Mastodon
7. Blood Mountain
6. Remission
5. Leviathan
4. Emperor Of Sand
3. Crack The Skye
2. Once More Round The Sun
1. The Hunter

For sure the first #aoty list I saw that has Roslia next to Lamp Of Murmuur haha. Cool list!
We need more Bands like Mastodon. No one else is able to pull the most random shit in otherwise “normal” songs. Like the robot voice on that one track on Blood Mountain. Or the random children gang shouts at the end of Aunt Lisa. #metalsky
Modern Metalcore often gets (deservedly) criticized for being completely overproduced. This album is a rare exception, it lives and breathes through its thick production. Every time you listen to it you discover a new layer of sound haven’t noticed before.
My #AOTY is Bodies by Thornhill.
A wild mix of Alt Metal, Nu Metal, Shoegaze, Metalcore and Djent. It combines the heaviness of Meshuggah with the beauty of Deftones. #metalsky
Apparently I listened to a lot of Slipknot this year. Huh. #metalsky
Er hat so viele interessante Facts gedropt, super Folge!
Hot take: Defenders Of The Faith is one of the least good pre-Ripper Priest albums and Killing Machine is top 3. #metalsky
Reminds me of another all-timer when Jamey Jasta accidentally called the Moma the “Museum Amon Amarth” #metalsky
Great moment on the Macho Grande Podcast a few weeks ago when host #1 was like “I listened to the new Lorna Shore. I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me.” and host #2 legit thought that was the review #metalsky
It’s a small thing, but I love it when bands have personal playlists of each member on their Spotify pages. Immolation even has two for everyone! #metalsky
Just remembered that Opeth released an album last year. Even thought it was pretty good but the fact it exists was completely erased from my memory #metalsky
I have a huge soft spot for this album. And that song in particular is such a banger. #metalsky
Gerne öfters einladen, hat super viel Spaß gemacht!

Is Machine Head the most inconsistent band in all of metal? #metalsky

An hour of runtime with most of the songs being like 7 minutes long isn’t pandering to a crowd with a low attention span. But incorporating the belching into every song, no matter how out of place it is, wouldn’t have happened if it hadn’t been for their five minutes of fame, imo. #metalsky
The album is great. But every song gets reduced to the 10 seconds that make people go “dude makes funny noises with his throat lmao”
Becoming a TikTok meme was the worst that could’ve happened to Lorna Shore from a creativity standpoint. If you remove the silly belching and grunting this album would be respected across the metal scene as a modern TechDeath/SymphBlack classic.
