Back in Japan!
My home in Gunma is known as the birthplace of the Daruma doll. It's probably Gunma's biggest impact on Japanese culture as a whole.
Shorinzan Darumaji is where the doll's design was first created so I visited the temple's yearly Daruma market and blessing ceremony yesterday.
