Sometimes folks unload stuff so heavy it really messes with me. Sad thing is, it’s completely out of my control, and it sucks to know I can’t help.
And folks wonder why I’m becoming more of a recluse…it’s hard to keep losing folks in my life & I’m terrified this’ll happen again
Update: Still alive; Foxtrot went well and I’ve been rather successful at balancing the chaos at the cost of sleep. Roommate beat RE9 before I did, but it’s been a fun ride watching them do their thing. Just one more workday to go & it’s back to a much needed 6 days off <3
Ska/swing fans in CO are eating GOOD this year: got my ticket to see these lads on the 20th in Estes Park! Always wanted to go to a concert at the nearby Stanley Hotel, can’t think of a better band to kick it off than an old favorite off my bucket list. Amped <3
Update: Bill 2 came in, discounted a couple hundred from its original amount for a non-insurance discount (bless them, they didn’t have to do that). Total between the two: $1,140. Just for a few hours in the ER with an ultrasound and labs. Wild.
There’s a silver lining in this; eternally thankful that Foxtrot is this Saturday so at least I get one night off the grind to relax and party in Denver <3
Forgot I promised my roommate’s parents that I’d not only be watching over their 7 pets while they’re gone for a week, but also working (a portion of) one of their day jobs…all while I’m working my main overnight gig.
It’ll be good money, but dude…it’s going to be rough.
Got the first of two bills: $650 just for a single ultrasound.
Been “bed rotting” a few days in depression in response…it’ll be hard to pay these bills with what I make.
It’s insane the USA has no universal healthcare, no wonder I haven’t seen the doctor in a decade…
Dare I say I enjoyed GOAT a bit more than Zootopia 2? The animation pure eye candy, however, the oddball Mercedes product placement threw me out of the immersion at times.
Otherwise, great film and one I’d recommend! Glad my roommate woke me up to see a matinee :3
I’m elated it fell on a day off as most concerts tend to be on work nights it seems. Last ska show I went to was probably around the time I left Florida, so it’s been quite a while.
Forgot we even had a Ska Fest here in Colorado, apparently I’ve already missed some epic sets the last two years ;;

Good points; at the very least, after watching the outsider devs show they actually do care to varying degrees, I feel a lot of these upcoming projects are in good hands.
And maybe we’ll get a proper MGS1 Remake too ;3; <3
While I’m still pissed at Konami for trashing their gaming development reputation a decade ago, they’ve really been doing well with the recent remakes. I’m just happy to see some life come back to these long dormant IP’s
And oooh, ok, now that I’ve watched the new Silent Hill Transmission gameplay + trailer, count me invested. Love the art direction they took with it, plus the CRT tool intrigues me.
I’m so happy MGS4 is FINALLY being ported to the upcoming MGS Master Collection Volume 2. Wild that it has been exclusively on PS3 for 17 years, about darn time!
Also amped to play Death Stranding 2 since it’s coming to PC at last (still haven’t had a reason to buy a PS5 yet).
It’s been a fun week off; hanging out with friends, Super Bowl party with Denver furs, a light dusting of snow up in Estes Park on Tuesday, followed by Furry Pinball in Loveland last night before I clocked in for work.
Been busy overall, but there’s a lot to look forward to coming up!

Pulled the trigger and pre-ordered Resident Evil: Requiem.
I no longer do pre-orders on games for a LOT of reasons, but the recent RE series has always been solid with their delivery and I couldn’t be more excited to play the 8th main title in the series later this month ^^

The 50/50 AWD took everything last night’s snow & ice threw at it, esp with Blizzaks. I often forget just how good the platform is until I truly need it >>;
Went to Idaho Springs with the boys for a dip in the Indian Hot Springs and a heavenly crafted Colorado-pizza from Beau Jo’s. Wrapped up the evening with a furry bowing meet in Denver and late-dinner at Applebees.
Good stuff, fantastic way to spend a Sunday <3

Despite the lengthy ER visit yesterday, I did get a positive moment where the local elk bros decided to chill in my neighborhood. Ended up arriving late to my appointment, but it’s not often I see them this far from the foothills, so it was a lovely surprise <3

Update: I’m ok, tests came back normal and emergency surgery is not needed. I’m sure the bill will be ungodly once they send it my way, but for now, I’m incredibly relieved I won’t be going under the knife today. Back at home and working tonight :3

Was hoping I could hold out on getting insurance for another year so I could pay off my other debt, but now everything I’ve paid into said debt will be nullified with how much more debt this will rack on.
Says a lot that I’m worrying more over the bill than my injury….
