You have to survive. There are graves to piss on that haven't been dug yet.

History geek. Museum geek. Book geek. Knitting geek. Married a geek. Parent of two grown and mostly flown geeks. Even the cats are geeks. Sense a theme here? Proud to call Kansas City home, most days. She/Her/Hers

Hi, Iβm God.
Jesus and I agree that starving the poor so you can build yourself golden bathrooms and golden ballrooms is evil. Anyone who does that shall burn for eternity. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Thanks,
God
Books are cool.
Nazis are not.
Pass it on.
I think itβs high time we take back the national narrative. For centuries Americans of all races, genders, religions, and abilities have worked to create a more perfect union, and we should shout from the rooftops that WE are America. Not these idiot white supremacist authoritarians.
Thou shalt not starve children.
I took an anthropology/sociology course on human sexuality at Washburn University in Topeka, KS. Absolutely amazing and enlightening. Guess who picketed the class?
Vote for Republicans, vote for chaos. Same as it ever was.
More like this, please.
A column on how all tech-bros kill the things they love.
Today's column, on the ChatGPT Ghibli app. The prayer of every creative should be, 'Please don't let tech-bros love the things I make":
Scorpion and frog "the scorpion won't sting me if i grovel and beg enough"

βIβve just sucked one hour of your life away. How does that make you feel? Remember, this is for science, so, be honest.β
Lego bricks in a pile are labeled as data. Then they are sorted by color and labeled as such. Then they are arranged, then they are lined up, and they are finally assembled into a house. Each image is labeled: Data, sorted, arranged, presented visually, then explained with a story. I know this isn't the best alt text. I just woke up and it's the best I can do.

Just a friendly historical reminder - the Nurenberg trials were not particularly kind to those who used the defense of "I was just following orders"
Something to remember as we try to break out of this cycle of history repeating itself.
Be an obstruction.
Be a roadblock.
Work slower.
Make mistakes and then act dumb afterwards.
Ask purposely stupid questions.
Pretend you didn't understand them the first time.
Be an ally.
You can't call yourself INDUSTRIAL either and be a bigot!
Max woke up in possession of The Brain Cell this morning. It was a glorious morning. He did so many smart cat things. And then he took a 6 hour nap. Now he can't quite remember where his food bowls are. #orangecatlife
This gave me chills.
Thou shalt not kill' also means 'thou shalt not let profit margins decide who lives and who dies.'
Ever wondered why walking around museums is weirdly tiring? At normal speed our legs act like pendulums, swinging forward from the hip & saving us a huge amount of energy. In "museum shuffle" our muscles must do ALL the work of constant readjustment. So cake in the cafe is scientifically justified π₯³
david oh my god do NOT play that boring-ass chord. the lord will hate that shit. it will NOT please him. try this one instead. it's secret π π€«
Arcane didn't have to be this good.
I love scary movies but living in one for 4 years seems a little excessive.
So, I've never seen Wicked. Couldn't get into the book, though I might try again. I only know one or two songs, as they were extremely popular solo/duet pieces with the girls in my kid's choir. Still... I think I'd be down for attending a singalong. Sounds like a good night out.
The real story on Capitol Hill is the desire of GOP men to have transgender women in their bathrooms
I will be calling them the Betty Gesundheits from now on, just to watch the spouse cringe.
It's a great show, btw.
Grateful for parks, libraries, and places where anyone can go
Still getting the hang of this new space. Bear with me.
