A purple e-spinner bobbin has several ounces of thin cotton single yarn in yellow, orange, and rust tones.

I feel like I'm finally able to spin a consistent single in cotton with long draw. Still a lot slower than spinning wool, but I'm not racing.

Autocorrect kept trying to change "pompom" to pompous. Not sure if that's ironic or not

The one I got was a commercial pom pom, and that's what it looked like. I sewed the female side of the snap in the pucker at the top of the hat. How to attach the snap is the biggest question for making my own.

Functional...perhaps not. My 6 year old niece is of the opinion that they belong on EVERYTHING. I let the wearer's preferences be the guide. I have seen where they can be attached with a snap for ease in washing.

The body is in a honeycomb colorwork pattern with a green button band. The yoke and tops of the sleeves have line drawings of bees, and the colorwork sleeves have alternating rounds of colorwork Xs on mustard and white rounds.

Three colorful pairs of self-striping socks from Urth yarns lie on a windowsill. Each has a tiny knitted dinosaur from Mochimichi land. The dinosaurs coordinate with the colors of the top of the socks. Pattern is Mini Mahalle Toe-up sock available for free at Urth website.

This shawl (@shanalinesdesigns.bsky.social's pattern #L'dorVaDor) is the first time I've actually knitted anything with my handspun! The pattern was meditative, with enough shaping and texture to keep me engaged. A glorious 50% camel / 50% silk (Abstract Fiber) I spun to a light 2-ply fingering.

I have some of those my mom made! I'm inspired to try for my nieces. Where did you find the pattern?
