That's how I feel constantly having AI offered to me. I don't want it, I've never wanted it, millions of people make it clear every day online they hate it and don't want it and we still have to keep hearing about it, being asked "are you sure?" like we're toddlers refusing to try food that tastes good. Bestie I am an entire whole grown adult with anxiety and debt, I am capable of deciding I don't like or want this. Our education system is constantly eroded, now more than ever, and every company ever is like "would you like to use your atrophying brain even less than you already do?" No actually, I probably should use it! You listed reasons you knew I would give for disliking AI yourself including environmental impact, loss of jobs for people, the erosion of trust in things being made by actual people, power concentrating in the hands of corporations like... you obviously already know so do you know how comically evil and antagonistic towards your users you're going to look if you implement AI after listing every reason NOT to use it YOURSELF? You clearly already know what the correct choice is, why do I have to be here to tell you that you already know it? Everyone I know taking this survey is saying they're going to just stop using Discord if you fill it with AI so if you don't actually care what I think and need a motivation for yourself, consider how NFTs went. When the AI bubble finally pops and you're left holding an enshittified service people left en masse because you myopically chased a trend most of your users are telling you they don't want, are you going to have made enough money? Or do you want something sustainable that people will continue to use? You can make the right choice and stick around or go jump into the ground with Skype in the messaging app graveyard.
