I don't know if it goes without saying but use o1-preview (soon to be o1) then you can swap to sonnet and your .cursorrules file (systemprompt add-on) has a better understanding of how to add or remove features on that codebase
simple cursor protip if you are working on an existing code
@codebase with o1 ask it: create a file tree and specsheet to deeply understand the codebase, what it does,what each file does and how each file and function speak to the rest of the code files
copy and save this output to .cursorrules 👍
