Watching a bunch of space disaster movie moments, and now Iβm wondering why my dad put his 3 year old in front of Apollo 13???
Yes, I watched the whole movie.

The video of a United States Senator joining the violent removal of U.S. marine from a hearing and hideously breaking his arm in a door is an example of what has been unleashed in this country. Theyβre tapping in to get in on the violence.
And then he bragged about it on X later.
Did a bunch of revisions tonight. I'm glad I haven't looked at the novella since October. I got feel impressed and concerned by my own writing.
I love it when the Girl Scouts make it easier for me to give them money.
people who insist that trump is the whole problem are super dangerous because they will prevent us from addressing root causes
I just read the comic last month and I immediately was like, they are perfect for the job.
My local Girl Scouts did this and they also take venmo. They might as well have reached directly into my wallet.
My man!
One hundred and sixty-five children were killed in a U.S.-Israeli strike on their elementary school. This is an aerial image of the graves being prepared for their bodies.
I defy anyone to justify this.
this is literally a plot point in 'I Sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter'
Remembering, for no reason at all, being told to listen to and uplift genre authors during the first Trump administration, because they were doing the work and telling truths and providing hope, and it turns out they all worked for weapons manufacturers
Just remembering that a bit today
Using the Mary Tyler Moore Show theme as part of the ending was a CHOICE. Mary Richards and Christine Chubbuck are certainly dark mirrors of the other.
Rebecca Hall as Christine Chubbuck in the 2016 film Christine
Watched Christine (2016), Iβve always felt a deep sympathy for Ms Chubbuck, and I thought the film did a good job of not telling her story too salaciously. Rebecca Hall is excellent as usual.
I really love reading all the Women in Horror Month posts. π

Elizabeth's essay really delves into the way our culture fails to see women's voices as authoritative, important, or deeply relevant -- and why that makes it so hard for women to be as read within the horror genre.
A picture of Jenny from The Green Ribbon. The illustration appears in In a Dark Dark Room and other scary stories by Alvin Schwartz and Dirk Zimmer
Text from the book: βAlfred,β she said, βnow I can tell you about the green ribbon. Untie it, and you will see why I could not tell you before.β Slowly and carefully, Alfred untied the ribbon and Jennyβs head fell off. The second page is Jennyβs head laying on the rug after her ribbon has been untied. A black cat stairs at her head.
Happy Women in Horror Month to Jenny and her green ribbon π
:D I was trying to think of that title!!! I loved Cantarella too!
Also the library staff thought βgraphic novels and comics = kidsβ booksβ so I was luckily able to find titles I would not have found otherwise.
Itβs one of the most unsettling things Iβve seen in ages. Iβm not into Minecraft either, but Iβm so impressed by what people can do with it.
Did you watch Searching for a World that Doesnβt Exist?
Persepolis is an all time favorite of mine. I was lucky that my public library had a huge collection of graphic novels, it was how I read Maus too.
