I don’t like to judge films based on the trailer, but it’s really not a good sign that they couldn’t find a single funny moment in the entire film to put into the trailer for the new Scary Movie film.

Anyway, I got what I deserved at this morning‘s parkrun – my result wasn’t registered correctly so I’m just listed as Unknown and I have no official time. A humbling experience.
I’ve been battling for a while to get to a sub 20 minute 5km. Still a bit off but getting closer all the time thanks to parkrun, which turns me into a horribly competitive person who is intent on beating everyone else.

Absolutely. It had a huge impact on me (saw it on Saturday) and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. Fair enough if people see it and don’t like it, but some people seem to have a problem with it based on a synopsis or things they’ve heard.

I say this as a huge fan of Taylor’s music. I really wanted this to be good but it’s hard to see how somebody as talented as her has come up with an album as tepid as this.
I hate to say it but the jubilant response to Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl has baffled me. I think it’s possibly the worst album of her career. Bar a small handful of good tracks (Ruin the Friendship, Opalite) it’s so mundane and the lyrics have rarely been worse.
What a night, she won’t forget. Louise is just a former usherette.
There’s something so funny about Independent Ireland saying they’ll nominate Maria Steen for the presidency because the people of Ireland “deserve the right to choose”. I wonder what Maria thinks about people having the right to choose?
