The billionaires on stage at his inauguration weren’t there to bow down to Trump. They were there to let the world know who was really running things. Trump is the chaos agent they needed to achieve that goal.

I was working in N. Alberta and somebody must have been feeding it (which we weren’t supposed to do). I was parked at a clearing and it flew down and landed on my mirror. I rolled down window and it didn’t even flinch. Very bold and pleased with itself.

Self-immolation isn’t really accurate. The majority of the people don’t want this. It took a few decades but now there’s a minority class with enough control over civic processes that they can act with impunity.

The vast majority of the working class are in cities. They come in all races, genders and ethnicities, yet to hear the NYT tell it, working class only seems to mean angry underemployed white men in the heartland who hate Democrats and rightly so.

And it’s consistently urbanites on the liberal/left being scolded to reach out and “understand” non-urbanites who vote RW in large numbers. I can’t remember a single time when the reverse was asked of the suburban/rural demo by a politician or op-ed writer.
