I endorse Ron. He will be really good at this job. But dislodging an incumbent isn’t easy so he will need our help.

Good morning! I’m proud to say that all six of my bills that were alive at cutoff have PASSED the Senate and are on their way to the Governor. I think that’s a personal best for my prime sponsor legislation and a huge testament to the work of the amazing advocates on these teams. #waleg
The man, 68, is accused of "weaponizing" his car and intentionally running down the woman in the parking lot of a Bellevue YMCA.
Every time I sit waiting for imaginary cars at a red light on my bike in the rain I think about how Seattle spends millions of dollars on intelligent traffic signals to save drivers a few seconds but doesn't program them to skip or shorten left turns based on car detections.
The #WALeg House still has yet to vote on the Millionaires Tax! Our sources say that phone calls to lawmakers’ offices urging them to vote YES are what’s needed right now to keep the bill moving.
We've made that easy by setting up a simple way to plug in your info and call them with one click:
The Seattle @streetsalliance.bsky.social is one of the most significant safe streets organizations to form in recent memory anywhere in the nation. Their bottom-up leadership model is powerful and could be adapted in many other places. It's empowering for volunteers and fun to start a local group.
After 13 years of working for @sngreenways.bsky.social, I'm now working for @streetsalliance.bsky.social! Wait, what? Read more on @theurbanist.org

never, ever, ever, ever accept "how will you pay for it?" as an argument against social programs.
Bollards around every bus stop.
We need pedestrian safety!
Washington has passed legislation to do this, but it’s dependent on federal law changing.
Seattle ranks well on this report, but I would love to see a similar comparison with cities outside of the US.
If you don't support bus-only lanes *where [car] traffic backs up*,
then your transportation goal is moving cars, not people.
I’ll never understand why Seattle allows parking along arterial streets. That’s what side streets are for!
Number of vehicular bridges built by decade in King County, with most of the ones built between 1910 and 1960 past their useful life
Looking just at the county, there are 73 bridges that are now older than their intended useful life.
Keeping the state system siloed off doesn't match how the transportation system actually works, especially not when the state is in full control of the revenue tools available to fix this.
I called it the coliseum the other day, and it hasn’t been called that since I was in elementary school
Good morning and welcome to the month where Seattle opens the only light rail line across a floating bridge anywhere in the world.
"The Islamists oppose women getting an education," I mutter, as I aim my missile at the girls school

The ICE facility in Portland’s South Waterfront neighborhood will now be fined every time federal agents deploy tear gas that spreads into the public right-of-way.

Yes, when I was researching my first e-bike I found a lot of models explicitly designed to work for hunters (rugged, quiet, can pull a trailer)
My kid brought home a persuasive essay arguing that kids should be paid to go to school in part because “kids must walk and bike to School” even in bad weather. The horrors of attending elementary school in a walkable neighborhood.
Also, the bike in the picture isn’t even locked to the rack?
Progressive taxes are those in which the tax increases with income. They aren't "so-called progressive taxes," it is literally just what the thing is called. The scare quotes just insinuate the mayor is hiding something or that progressive taxation is something sinister.

I still go there by bike, because my most direct route is via the Locks
Should we be concerned about the cuts Ryan reports here?
Discovery Park should be accessible by bike, but the bike lanes disappear right before you get there.
World War 2 era ad painted on a Pittsburgh PCC trolley running on the 22 Crosstown route saying “Wanted! Women to drive trolleys”
Hello, I’m your girl.
