A Seven Samurai tifo? With a giant Toshirō Mifune as the centerpiece? I’ve never been so happy…
And everyone in the stadium boos the light show… #RCTID
Rod Serling is probably the coolest guy of the 20th century. Looked cool, sounded cool, fought Nazis, hated John Wayne, wrote the screenplay for Planet of the Apes. Honestly dunks all the hell over any male influencer guy.
I just discovered that my mom has a bowl of plums in the fridge. Do I dare? I don’t even like plums. But how often does this opportunity come up?
My wrist with an early entry Timbers Army wristband on it. The number is 185.
I was just thinking something similar, as I walked up to the gate with no line, and got a wristband with a number under 200…
Just watched the Chet Baker documentary Let’s Get Lost. Because who needs to be happy or well-adjusted these days…
Celebrate the positive when it comes along:

What is this vile chicanery?
Does anyone know what’s going to happen to the Tom Hardy sculptures in Lloyd Center. It seems they already took out the salmon from the downstairs entrance, but the flock of birds is still hanging over the food court…
I was reading this post, and suddenly remembered the existence of the short story Profession by Isaac Asimov.
Torment Nexus indeed…
There’s a reason I get an aisle seat when I’m at a Timbers match…
A newspaper article from January 15, 1990. The picture is of a young me on a stretcher. The headline reads RESCUERS SAVE BOY SCOUT TRAPPED IN HAY. The text of the article reads as follows: SCOTTS MILLS — A 14-year-old Portland Boy Scout was trapped beneath a pile of hay bales Sunday after the bales rolled off a 40-foot trailer about eight miles southeast of here. Aaron Button was treated in Silverton Hospital and released after the accident at the Butte Creek Boy Scout Ranch. Button's Boy Scout Troop 100 of northeast Portland had spent Saturday and Sunday horse-back riding and camping, Scoutmaster John Layman said. The accident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. Button had just walked across a bridge on the ranch as a tractor-trailer loaded with hay passed him. The rig was crossing the bridge when the back wheels of the trailer got caught, causing it to tip toward Button. Part of the bridge kept the trailer itself from overturning, but the bales rolled off, Layman said. Button tried to run down a hill to avoid the avalanche of hay but was not able to escape. "It took us a half-hour to find him in the hay," Layman said. Button was not seriously injured, but the hay shower shook him up, Layman said. "We were all pretty shaken up," he said. "It was a fluke accident."
When I was 14 years old a semi trailer tipped over and fell on top of me.
My maternal grandfather was a baker. My paternal grandfather was a cop and a volunteer firefighter.
And honestly, I’d be terrible as a congressman. Just the worst.
Father James Mitchell, yes.
“They’re also doing the same thing to wrestling promotions. No, not AEW, WWE, or TNA. The one I own, that you haven’t heard of. Because of the CIA.”
So I’m about to watch a stupid cop show just because it has a one-episode Dropout subplot…
Well now I need to schedule a Burn Notice rewatch.
Hail to the king, baby…
Keep saying "slop" in reference to AI.

The techbros are listening, and this word makes them so sad on the inside that they'll hoist themselves on their own Streisand Effect petard.
This is the timeline where nerd tech company founders got weird ideas from The Lord of the Rings, but I want to live in the timeline where the nerds all read the Discworld series & launched a green energy company called The Fifth Elephant.

You only have a short time to comment. They are trying to destroy our forests to enrich a few logging company executives and the politicians they’ve paid off.

Criterion just put out an ode to the VHS listing, and I am deeply astonished that it somehow includes The Big Hit, and yet Sex, Lies, and Videotape is nowhere to be found.
On any platform; you can’t stream that sucker anywhere.
*looks at the 10 day run of days off I have in March*
Well that’s your own fault for not working at a school, innit? SPRING BREAK!
Just watched that The Bluff, that new pirate movie on Bezos Prime. Solid fun, especially if you enjoy watching folks like Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Karl Urban, and Temuera Morrison engaging in sword-based violence.
