A lot of people seem to be ignoring the fact that this new marketplace is the direct result of the heavy cash flow CC ecosystem the community (both creator and player) has been fostering the past several years.

and i add: this posture we have as a community of putting cc/mods creators (especially the sleaziest ones) on a pedestal only enables them to be more and more entitled. now, EA is using their good reputational value to hide this shady marketing move - and they're allowing it.

i’ve already seen it happen and the thing isn’t even out yet. this is 100% why EA allowed the creators to set the prices, so it can be spun on them. (not that they’re innocent, but they’re entering in a very well played trap)

this thing about them selling neighborhoods is just… a new kind of low

on a more positive note, i’ve been to guatemala recently and had a blast. such a vibrant and interesting country. visited antigua, panajachel, san juan de la laguna and did a mountain trail close to a volcano, which was just mind blowing.

them saying maintaining the platform is the most egregious part of it for me in this whole joke. it’s a cost they created and now they’re charging the consumers (who never wanted this) for it.

Please don’t let any corporate entity convince you that exposure is a valid currency.
