I hadn't seen this piece originally, but oooo boy does it definitely resonate. Not just as someone who is struggling to love writing again, but also as someone who is constantly annoyed at publishing for not recognizing how incredible my friends are.

I quit the former Twitter two years ago this week, and I am here to tell you that my online life got a lot better for having left it. In two years I've not been tempted to go back, and I haven't felt any penalty in either career or community for not being there. It's nice to be here and not there.

This massive Rednote migration is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while.

Got lost in the comments of a Tiktok on things people learned from TikTok videos that changed their lives. Sometimes it's a life hack, sometimes it's a whole new life trajectory. I wish more people understood how much good came from that weirdly intuitive algorithm.

So much of my time on Tiktok has been enjoying a feed that feels so distinctly me--learning new things, craft inspiration, so many neurodivergent folks. I'm so sad this chapter is ending, especially when almost all the other platforms feel pretty bleak right now.

Just finished listening to the audiobook for Play Nice and while it was definitely an interesting and nostalgic look at the sheer force of nature of Blizzard, I kept wishing for an optimistic update about the future of the company that never came. 💙📚

I'm overthinking what kind of experience I want on this app so the new goal is to just find the fun again!

obviously the most recent explosion in growth is linked to the election but the enthusiastic level of engagement makes me think people are pretty hungry to interact with users who act like people instead of bots
