Sign our petition and demand that your lawmaker vote YES on banning 287(g) agreements when the time comes.
287(g) agreements enlist local law enforcement to work for ICE and are proliferating in Minnesota. This makes our state less safe, less fair, and less free.

For the first time in over a century, families across the U.S. have to fear their children growing up without citizenship in the only home they've ever known.
We'll be defending the right of birthright citizenship at the Supreme Court on April 1 in our case Barbara v. Trump.

ACLU of Minnesota Pushes to End 287(g) Agreements with HF 3413, New Report, Community Organizing - ACLU of Minnesota
A 287(g) agreement is when local law enforcement signs an agreement with ICE. This waste of taxpayer money erodes trust between local law enforcement & the communities they serve.
We're calling for the Legislature to pass HF 3413 to end all 287(g) agreements in Minnesota.

Birthright Citizenship at SCOTUS: Your Voice Matters
From President Trump's first day in office, he's targeted birthright citizenship as part of a broader effort to define who belongs in our country. This abuse of power cannot go unanswered. Take action.
We're going to the Supreme Court to defend birthright citizenship on April 1st – and we need you there with us. Add your name in support of safeguarding citizenship for all babies born in the U.S., and we'll bring your signature with us to D.C.

ICE may try to use an administrative warrant to enter the premises. You do not have to let them inside unless they present a warrant signed by a judge.
If ICE attempts to enter the premises, ask to see the judicial warrant.

Know your rights: Recording federal agents in public
You have the right to photograph or film anything in plain view, including federal buildings and law enforcement as long as you aren't trespassing or violating a lawful order.
The First Amendment protects your right to record government officials performing their duties in public.
This applies to ICE agents, police, FBI, National Guard troops, and any other government officials.

Protesters in Minneapolis and St. Paul said in sworn statements that they were singled out by agents who demonstrated that they knew where they lived.
"Among nearly 100 sworn statements filed in federal court on Friday are more than a dozen accounts... in which federal agents deployed to Minnesota singled out protesters, finding the addresses of their homes and showing up there."

This is a well-settled area of Minnesota law, and past legal cases should be more than enough to discourage similar unlawful actions. If they are not, we will return to court to protect the rights of all Minnesotans.

Trump administration to withdraw 700 immigration agents from Minnesota
The Trump administration will withdraw 700 federal immigration agents from Minnesota, border czar Tom Homan said Wednesday.
The pressure is working, but make no mistake: this "drawdown" would still leave thousands of federal immigration agents on the streets of Minneapolis, around four times the size of the city's current police force.
These agents continue to sow chaos, and Congress needs to rein in these agencies now.
