Personal data stored in the centralized backends of apps and services is frequently violated, sometimes causing harms at mass scale, so you don't see how instead shifting to them storing the data in a user's decentralized personal datastore, that mitigates this issue, is beneficial for the end user?

Almost half the Earth's population live in highly authoritarian countries that have been known to erase people's digital identity, data, communications, etc., and you don't see how decentralization and the interdiction resistance it brings is helpful to those billions of end users?
