I saw the sunbeam in the corner of the temple. Slowly it went toward the woman in front of the row - would it arrive in time before the people finishing chanting a sutra?
I could only wait. Nothing else to be done.

A roll of Ektachrome slide film discovered in this new-to-me Fujica 35SE camera!
I think any photographer has to be curious and I appreciate the serendipity & wonder at this fun surprise. Canβt wait to see whatβs on this long-forgotten roll of film

Wow. it must feel terrible when someone takes something you made and uses it without permission or payment
One quote I heard years ago sticks with me, and has shaped how I think of the entire situation: βsocial media is not a real placeβ
Our actual life - including our happiness, accomplishments, dreams and friends - is out here.
ICYMI β what could be better than looking at a strangerβs holiday photos?
Glad you agree. My websiteβs blog has a happy coincidence of my vacation with my long-running personal project on faith & rituals: www.colincorneau.com/blog/2025/1/...

Might I suggest checking out the Foto app. I have no vested interest etc in it - Iβve just found it a promising and refreshing place for photography

I donβt like the idea of any social media being a photo album or anything more than thumbnails - any photographer needs a piece of their own to show photos as they see fit, with SM being merely a pointer towards that place.
So, low-res photos are no problem really.
Thanks for making a very good point! π
Teaching was not mentioned by me, very deliberately - itβs hard work.

Yes! Thereβs little to no ethical accountability too - which to even a momentβs consideration really devalues any recommendations.
Some good information sometimes but, critical thinking needed!

I can find no flaw in your logic, sir
Very cool βΒ The @criterion.bsky.social is streaming the documentary portrait "David Lynch: The Art Life" free to watch through the end of January. No account necessary. Please RT
I do think the next few years will see a big redefining of social media and how (many) people use it.
Dr. Jonathan Haidt among others have compelling data on how itβs ruined so many young people. I think the key is to make your own website central and any SM a simple occasional add-on to that.
Guessing a run would not be beneficial to you for at least 24 hours!
Maybe donβt rape, murder and abduct people if you donβt want to suffer the consequences?
Very understandable. I get the feeling a lot of people are in the same place, now
