I wonder whether stronger interventions are needed once racism is formally recognised - a pathway would need consideration as a course of racist conduct. Commissioned historical work on migration and labour might help counter myths about βundeservingβ migrants.
Affective bordering looks highly relevant for beyond border studies as the idea of βdeservingnessβ maps closely onto how the state governs harm and safety more broadly. I could see this fitting well with the Open University Module - year 3: The State (TMA03).

Women stay βpositiveβ not by trusting systems that repeatedly fail them, but by decoupling their wellbeing from institutional legitimacy, cultivating collective resilience, and grounding themselves in an honest analysis of power.
