Really shocking. At the time I forget to take photos - probably because it's genuinely scary when someone is having a go at you.
Crossing aside, pedestrians now have right of way at junctions (changes to highway code). This happened to us. A van driver nearly ran us over when we were crossing a road, I protested it was our right of way. He stopped and accused me of being drunk! Should have taken his reg number.

Inspired by our recent trip to Italy we ate panini for dinner tonight. Home baked focaccia (with home grown herbs) and the filling was: home made tapenade, prosciutto, mozzarella and marinated artichoke. It was DELISH!
Yeah, we didn't get a very good picture of the onsen - largely because it was outside so very cold and dark! But bathing was divine! We found some other private onsen in the Japan Alps. We much prefer these. So nice to relax in.
Oh we totally want to stay there! The cats are adorable 😍
