Could an empire in decline do THIS? *launches deeply unpopular invasion cementing status as lunatic-led pariah state, its not clear what kind of move i was trying to do*

My car battery has an 8 year warranty and you can do better with house batteries. And the failure mode is not “it’s broken” but rather “it only holds 80% of what it used to”.

I’ve read his dark materials three times - as a 10 year old, a 15 year old, and a 28 year old. Each time it was a radically different work of genius and I fully expect the fourth time - as a father of two - to hit hard again, in a different way again

Totally agree. I wasn’t a rugby fan but have become a mild one through friends. I never would have got into it at all if I had to go out of my way to access it.

As a dev, I think one of the best signs I truly love your software product is if I’ve ever idly browsed your careers page wondering whether I’d be able to get a job just fixing up the little papercuts I hit while using it.

Yeah I keep seeing people saying stuff like “my agent tells me all the appointments I have today each morning” and like idk man my calendar has been doing that for me since I was about 10

Would be nice if gmail was 20% better at pulling those out of emails in the first place. I guess.

Insulating is always good but heat pumps can and do work in the vast majority of existing housing stock. The technology has come a long way and installations are improving. “Green” gas is a distraction.

I mean to be fair I’ve had to do this on macOS like 3 times since installing Tahoe so I’m not totally sure I’ve escaped that any more

The current argument of the British right is that Muslims turned out in "blocs" with "family voting" to cast their ballots for a party led by a gay Jewish man, and this shows that multiculturalism has failed, voting is "sectarian" and we are in a crisis.

Hmmmmmm.

Oh I’d so play this. Might be neat to be able to encourage energy consuming industries to set up shop near by and pay for some of your capacity or something.

Don’t worry though we can use an agent to summarise it back down with only minor data loss

Yeah “AI” is the stuff we still consider to be magic, the things that used to be AI become specific named features or technologies. Half decent voice recognition with some basic logic statements/pattern matching was widely called AI not that long ago.
