Man, even in this echo chamber you canβt get any likes? Sorry to hear that.

Youβve written an essay to make yourself a hero by leaving out the entirety of what sparked criticism against you. (Iβm assuming thatβs why you left me outβbecause I was the one who initially criticized and demonstrated your claims were ignorant).
@nc5official.bsky.social needs to correct this now.
Yet you do not even mention your (entirely incorrect) accusation that the Tennessean did something unethical in publishing the essay, nor the fact that you tagged the Tennesseanβs opinion editor in an apparent attempt to your his OWN social media mob whipped up against the newspaper.
This is an absolutely dishonest recounting of why you came in for criticism. It had nothing to do with your reporting. It had to do with YOUR incorrect complaints about the Tennesseean choosing to run an op-ed from a conservative Christian real estate developer you disapprove of.
In what way are they βnot buyingβ?
Lucas Miles is head of TPUSA Faith. And yes, my husband is Brian Basham. π
Most fun, getting to chat with Senator Ted Cruzβs dad, Pastor Rafael Cruz about dangers of Marxism in the church, and then do joint book signing with Lucas, before hanging with some wonder women like Sandy Rios and Nancy Schulze!
Enjoyed opportunity this weekend to speak to group of conservative leaders in DC about Shepherds for Sale. Especially encouraging to share a panel w/ Family Research Councilβs Tony Perkins, Washington Timeβs Cheryl Chumley, American Association of Evangelicalβs Kelly Kullberg, & TPUSAβs Lucas Miles.
Christians should stand up and say no more to the toxic empathy that allows lives like Laken's to be stolen.
She deserved to have this marriage, these children, this faithful Christian life.
It was stolen from her. It was stolen from a man who should have had the opportunity to love her as his wife and from the children who should have had the opportunity to love her as their mom.
I pray you know and feel the importance of my love and hopes for our relationship. No matter what challenges we face, I pray that our trust in God and love for one another overrules the obstacle.
May our relationship last forever,
Your future wife, Laken"
I pray God is at the center of our relationship, as it is a gift from Him. I thank Him for you before I even know you
and can't wait to love you in the best way I know how for the rest of our lives.
I pray that we continue to glorify the Lord, prioritizing Him in every aspect of our lives, and raise our family, our future family, to be God-fearing Christians as well.
so that I can best embody those characteristics.
I pray that you know it is with my full faith and trust in God that I know this relationship has been handcrafted by Him.
"To my future husband,
I want you to know that I'm thinking about you. I'm working every day to become the best wife I can be. I'm working through my current relationships to best prepare me for our's. I'm focusing on God and what He defines as a faithful Christian lifeβ¦
Today in court, Laken Rileyβs father read one of the last entries in her journal from December 2023. It was letter she wrote, on the advice of her church small group leader, to her future husband.
This was what it said:
What is wrong with you?
Really well put.
Untethered empathy makes no distinction between a person whoβs hurt because sheβs been treated unjustly and a person whoβs hurt because her attempts to treat others unjustly have been rebuffed 1/2
My daughter is teaching herself Battle Hymn of the Republic on the piano right now. Iβm not sure why, but I like where her head is at.
God, it seems, has given us a reprieve. The lgbtq ideology no longer packs the power it once packed. Even career politicians can say that biology determines gender without fear. But if we donβt the rush breach and cleanse the house, the demons will return with 7 of their friends
Sad for the Bee that they canβt understand that this place is a haven for kindness not truth π’
Of course, Iβm an intrepid explorer, I donβt want to live in an echo chamber of my own ideas!
Well that is quite the topic shift!
See youβre talking about Twitter right here!
If Bluesky had a trending topics list, Twitter would always be at the top.
So far I see 4 main themes on Bluesky:
1) reassuring one another that this is so much better than Twitter.
2) Trump hate
3) boasting about blocking ppl who disagree w/ you (but itβs not an echo chamber!!!)
4) space pictures and anime drawings of girls with giant boobs.
I think that covers it.
Saying w/ much gentility and loveβthe amount of time people spend over here assuring one another itβs so much better than Twitter feels a bit like two single women assuring one another how much better off they are without the exes theyβre still in love withβ¦
No, Iβm sorry this is a terrible job at speaking truth π«Ά
Thank you!
