You’ve written an essay to make yourself a hero by leaving out the entirety of what sparked criticism against you. (I’m assuming that’s why you left me out—because I was the one who initially criticized and demonstrated your claims were ignorant).

@nc5official.bsky.social needs to correct this now.

Yet you do not even mention your (entirely incorrect) accusation that the Tennessean did something unethical in publishing the essay, nor the fact that you tagged the Tennessean’s opinion editor in an apparent attempt to your his OWN social media mob whipped up against the newspaper.

This is an absolutely dishonest recounting of why you came in for criticism. It had nothing to do with your reporting. It had to do with YOUR incorrect complaints about the Tennesseean choosing to run an op-ed from a conservative Christian real estate developer you disapprove of.

In what way are they “not buying”?

Especially encouraging to share a panel w/ Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins, Washington Time’s Cheryl Chumley, American Association of Evangelical’s Kelly Kullberg, & TPUSA’s Lucas Miles.

Christians should stand up and say no more to the toxic empathy that allows lives like Laken's to be stolen.

She deserved to have this marriage, these children, this faithful Christian life.

It was stolen from her. It was stolen from a man who should have had the opportunity to love her as his wife and from the children who should have had the opportunity to love her as their mom.

I pray you know and feel the importance of my love and hopes for our relationship. No matter what challenges we face, I pray that our trust in God and love for one another overrules the obstacle.

Today in court, Laken Riley’s father read one of the last entries in her journal from December 2023. It was letter she wrote, on the advice of her church small group leader, to her future husband.

This was what it said:

So far I see 4 main themes on Bluesky:

1) reassuring one another that this is so much better than Twitter.

2) Trump hate

3) boasting about blocking ppl who disagree w/ you (but it’s not an echo chamber!!!)

4) space pictures and anime drawings of girls with giant boobs.

I think that covers it.

Saying w/ much gentility and love—the amount of time people spend over here assuring one another it’s so much better than Twitter feels a bit like two single women assuring one another how much better off they are without the exes they’re still in love with…

No, I’m sorry this is a terrible job at speaking truth 🫶
