I wanted to revisit some old sketches and found some alien explorers I did years ago in a forgotten folder on my disk. From time to time I like to go through abandoned projects to see if I find something inspirational in them.

The leading idea behind the gods of Sulcus was that each one of them would be a representation of a natural sea phenomena. Viota- the goddess of moonlight is associated with bioluminescence and the tides; Kark=carcinization; Gon=oxidation; Diith=filtration; Ekfon=vocalization.
Beyond the labyrinth of Sulcus lies the Abyss. Information about this place is scarce. It is rumored that primordial horrors and old gods wait there in the darkness. Among them, the Light-eater can absorb any source of light and drive the unfortunate explorers insane with psychic powers.
In the depths of Sulcus lies a massive labyrinth of impossible proportions. The forgotten wandering hero still stalks the halls, searching for the way out, mutated by the influence of the labyrinth. Another possible enemy here is the Labyrinth sentinel: a bio-mechanical automaton of unknown origin.
The types of enemies that we can encounter in the ruins of the undercity of Sulcus: starting with the upper levels of the dungeon there are the zealous followers of Kark with some blessed mutations granted by the old god. There are also lots of distorted wildlife crawling around.
Apparently today is #portfolioday?
Introducing the characters of Sulcus- the Warrior, the Huntress and the Cursed. In my head I imagined Sulcus as a classical dungeon crawler game with some rpg elements where you choose a main character and find new companions on your way to the deepest levels of an underground lost city.
First post! Finally I can show some of the material I did for my personal project Sulcus. The setting is a mix of Greek mythology and cosmic horror. I did this first color rough sketch at the start of the project to explore mood and atmosphere. More things to come in the next week!
A ˝experimental˝ piece from 2022. Angel and Demon inspired by the short story ˝Mrs. Rinaldi's angel˝ by Thomas Ligotti. I really liked how the author described angels as ethereal creatures and how human dreams can ˝infect˝ them and transform them into demons, warping them and the space around them.
A group shot of the characters I did a long time ago for an Artstation challenge (I think the theme was ˝The box of mystery˝?). It was a fun one... does Artstation even do challenges anymore?
Throwback to a couple of old Khorne themed pieces I did some years ago.
Yeah I agree. They have so much potential. I hope at some point we'll get some more crazy minis
An older piece of a couple of demons of Tzeentch. I'll try to revisit some of these guys someday
Thank you! 😊

QRP sketch vs final artwork!
Always super insightful to see the earlier stages of any art process. I love what people have been sharing!
