After a visit to Croxteth Hall, we headed to Roscoe’s Bakery on Queens Drive in West Derby. We toyed with the idea of a late breakfast but ended up going for coffee and cake instead — no regrets. Great location, friendly staff, and excellent cake. ☕🍰

Taking the tram is one of the easiest ways to travel between Venice and Mestre, especially if you’re staying nearby. It’s quick, convenient, and also connects to Marghera and Favaro Veneto. If you have a little extra time, hopping on the tram is a fun way to explore the area beyond the canals.

Our break in Llandudno began with some wild weather. It wasn’t as intense as the storm from the previous week, but it certainly made for an interesting and memorable walk.

This morning featured a couple of coffee stops. We began at Pressed Harington, a juice bar and café, where we enjoyed a skinny latte alongside breakfast. Later, we made our way to Wild Root, a plant-based café, where we ordered different drinks - an oat latte for me and coconut latte for her.

It’s another cold day, but we wanted to get out of the house for a while. Unfortunately, there aren’t many coffee spots within walking distance, so Dunelm it was. The coffee and sandwich were simple and unremarkable but they were hot and filling—just what we needed on a winter’s day.

Mayor reveals name of first new Mersey Ferry in 60 years as important shipbuilding milestone reached <p>The Royal Daffodil will become the sixth Mersey Ferry to bear the name since the early 1900s.</p>

It will be interesting to see how this looks when it’s finished and whether they decide to build more than one.
