2/2 And unless you have enough money to buy Lie-Nielsen/Veritas tools, buy vintage Stanley, Millers Falls, etc. They are better quality than those sold by Rockler, Woodcraft, etc. I'm mostly hand tools but do use a $100 used bandsaw, a budget full-sized table saw and a thickness planer.
1/2 As someone who has been where you are, take it slow and do your research before you spend any money. Chances are you will buy tools you'll never use. Unless you find a deal you just can't pass up, only buy what you actually need for the project at hand.
