If Bluesky suits you in a lot of ways, but you're losing confidence in the owners, it's possible that you won't need them forever.
@blackskyweb.xyz and @transrights.northsky.social are both doing valuable work to create safe communities and might be the way forward for you. Throw them a few quid.
OVH are currently having latency issues which is likely the cause of the current performance problems on Mastodon.ie

We would also like to note that you can now use Bridgy Fed to mirror your Bsky account to Fedi. fed.brid.gy
Your friends on Fedi can do the same thing in the other direction.
