@birdsaredinosaurs.bsky.social Hi, new follower here, just wanted to provide photographic evidence in support.
Now that CNN and WBD are set to become state media in a sale to Paramount/Oracle/TikTok, it is especially important to support independent media.

It was very 1980s, but another one of my favorites. :-)
I liked "Dave". Have you seen "Moon Over Parador"?

"CONTEMPLATING"?!
Some of the special-edition detailing that KitchenAid did is pretty slick.
I *really* liked the look of the quilted stainless bowl; I think it has a nice retro-shiny appearance. But the glass bowl is nice too.
It seemed to me that a special-edition anniversary machine ought to actually be special, so I've set this one up to be a hundred-year machine. All of the cost-reduced modern parts that compromise reliability and durability are replaced with vintage parts (some brand new) that will go the distance.
As a recent-production machine, it had the usual late-series cost reductions: plastic speed control link, cheaper rear motor bearing, plastic bushings on the pinion drive, low grease load.
The Queen of Hearts itself came in two variants: one with the standard glass bowl, and one with the standard stainless bowl.
Back in 2021, I was very lucky to find this machine used, but in its (slightly beat up) original box. This one came with the glass bowl rather than stainless.
In 2019, KitchenAid released two Artisan-type mixers to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the brand; one in Misty Blue with white anniversary trim, and the "Queen of Hearts", colored in Passion Red with chrome accents and its own unique anniversary trim.
Happy Valentine's day, if you observe. For the occasion, I present a special project that I just finished up: The Queen of Hearts. #Mixerology
What could possibly go wrong?

I am sure you're correct, not taking that bet. :-)

Itβs like iced tea, but better.
A stainless steel pitcher full of coffee, embedded in a snow drift.
New England: iced coffee
New England intensifies: iced coffee in winter
Peak New England: using a snow drift in 7Β°F weather to chill coffee for iced coffee
It'll take a little getting used to, but it's a game changer. Good luck.
