Benevolent patriarchy is so annoying bc it'll have cishet men think they they are not misogynistic or sexist bc they're the "good ones." All because they want to hold on to the idea of traditional manhood they've been taught since they were boys.

This is why black ppl have a hard time in mutual aid spaces with getting help too. Like you said even amongst other black ppl. We have all been conditioned to believe that black ppl are supposed to struggle and not get any help or relief and if we do it's has to be an actual struggle to get it.

when they see any black people who seem happy. have money. look good. are winning at something. are favored over somebody non black. anything that seems like a success or positive, they all decide "well i guess all their problems are solved, if they complain it means they're lazy and refuse to try"

my conclusion until proven otherwise is

the entire world sees the black race, africans, people of african descent as oppressed for so long that it's THE NATURAL ORDER. this is why nothing moves others, and why our cries are just part of the background noise. even to other black people.
