Our final Heritage Huddle of the season featured none other than club legend Josh Cartwright. A true Mini & Junior product, recently retired but still giving back, sharing wisdom, stories, and inspiring the next generation of Burton RFC players
Seven U18 players stepped up to the 1st XV today, making their debut. Incredible to see the next generation making their mark. Huge shoutout to our U18 coaches. 🤍🖤

Thanks to Kenilworth rugby club for a great game of rugby. Here’s a breakdown of how the game went. 👇🏽

What does Rob Howley do? Wouldn’t be surprised if Wales are ‘nilled’ for a second time in this competition. #WRU #FRAvWAL #GuinnessM6N
𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝘂𝗴𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁: Burton RFC play Padel at Branston Golf & Country Club 🏉➡️🎾
No rugby, still beautiful 🏉
When the pitches freeze, our determination doesn’t.
St. George’s Park provides a world-class elite training environment for any team wanting to optimise their performance. Perfect for Burton RFC
Here’s my first ever article, be kind! Huge thanks to Dan Cottrell and Rugby Coach Weekly for giving me the chance to share my thoughts. Hope you enjoy the brain dump!

Enjoyed a traditional Boxing Day run out at Burton RFC. Great to see senior players, new faces and even some retired legends lacing up for a spirited game. A perfect mix of competition and camaraderie.
My knee also reminding me why I don’t play anymore! 🤕
Thanks to Neil Mitchell and Stourbridge for a great game of rugby. A brilliant team performance to close out the year with a win. Huge thanks to everyone who’s supported us so far this season – enjoy the festive break & we’ll see you in the new year!
This week, we had the privilege of welcoming former player Kelvin Browne to our Heritage Huddle at BurtonRFC. Kelvin shared heartfelt stories about his time at the club, reflecting on how Burton RFC became more than just a team to him, we became family
5 ⭐️ post training scran continues at Burton RFC. This week, a braai 🇿🇦 . Giving the players and coaches time to talk and strengthening bonds off the field. #braai #MasterChef
Congratulations Bridgnorth RFC on your victory today. I was right….a good welcome, good food, nice beer and a bloody hard game of rugby. #AutumnNationsSeries
I’m excited for this tour. Wallabies have shown glimpses of being an excellent team + some XFactor. And in big games, the XFactor can get you across the finish line. Can Wallabies create watertight fundamentals before July 2025? The first test in Brisbane will be 🔥

A few words as we prepare for Bridgnorth RFC (A). One of my favourite away days of the season. Always a good welcome, good food, nice beer and a bloody hard game of rugby.
I know Wales are on a losing streak, so it’s a bit silly to say this…but Gatland’s Wales teams make so much progress over a 6N campaign. By the time Wales face England in March I think we could see the Principality back to it’s best 🔥
ENG need Finn Smith at 10 for six nations success. If Steve goes for Marcus, it’ll take a bit of time for the 14 players around him to get used to him. Steve doesn’t have time. #ENGvJPN
“It takes time”, Marcus Smith.
In my opinion - Good teams need time, grand-slam winning teams don’t. ENG need to find a way, the quickest way is to find a different 10. #ENGvJPN
Missed me talking about the Burton RFC Heritage Huddle on BBC Radio Derby? You can listen back now and catch all the details!

Losing by 30 points to back to back world champions, I think Wales will take that with the mess they’re in at the moment. Learning opportunities for lots of young Welsh players. South Africa looked like they enjoyed themselves 👏🏼
Interesting! At level 5, we’re sure that anything over 10 pens conceded = significantly less likely to win. Referees seem be rewarding the attacking team at the moment.
Hi everyone! 👋
I’m Head Coach of Burton RFC, a proud rugby club with over 150 years of history. I’m working with an incredible group of players/staff, all driven to aim higher every week.
I’m excited to share insights from life on and off the pitch and connect with like-minded people.
New to Bluesky as of this morning 👋 and already enjoying some interactions without the mess. I’ll still use the ‘other app’ for a short while.
Interesting how Lawrence describes the relationship. I agree with him. I can’t help but look at really successful
teams of the past. Have they had a FlyHalf who’s a maverick? Or someone who plays the ‘structure’ to bring in the 14 players around them? Biggar, Wilko, Farrell, Carter, Sexton etc,
It’s a good read, thanks for sharing. And also, thanks for reminding me that there’s some quality injured players to come back in the mix! 😅 🏴
