Got stuck in a hell of a rut with my art, but I'm slooowly dragging myself out of it. Been updating my OC's model to it's "possibly" final version, which I'm super happy about. Also decided I need to design more stuff, it's fun and I don't want to get too rusty, so yeah ( ´ ▿ ` )

The lighting is so moody... it looks amazing.

This is why whenever we do movie nights with my friends, we decide on the movie we wanna watch and just straight up download it like a whole week in advance (´-ω-`( _ _ )

Almost done here. Working on higher resolution pixel art textures for the face was fun, I still gotta get the hang of it tho.

Yeah I'd like seeing older folk be the protagonists in media more often. Whenever I make an OC, I can't push myself to make them any younger than like, 23yo lol.

Also I like seeing a cool 50 year old character that isn't a wise fireball casting wizard :b

This kinda thing also happens to me too lol, whenever I've got the whole day ahead of me, my brain dumps all my inspiration down the drain, but then randomly at like 2AM, when I should be sleeping, it goes "Oh boy new OC design, hop on Blender!" (。。 )

I figured out how to make VRChat avatars, so I thought "Oh my god, I'll be able to move around as one of my OCs!?", and that's when I found out almost my entire continent is currently unable to log into VRChat... welp, time to uh... wait until maybe someday probably it gets fixed? ヽ(￣ω￣(。。 )ゝ

I just found out you're here on bsky, and saw Lady Élunia again, so I wanted to make a bit of a "Hi!" post.
Also a good excuse to use my Élunia model, do some dithering and do a bit of filligree pixel art too („• ֊ •„)
(I hope bsky doesn't destroy the details)

Really depends on what you like, and when it comes to classics, it's much easier to get them cheap because a lot are completely abandoned and unobtainable, so if emulation bothers you, you can use the excuse of the publisher not giving you a way to play it! ヽ(￣ω￣(。。 )ゝ

It's actually kinda hard to recommend games to someone that doesn't play games much, I've had that issue with a friend that wanted to stream games... while not being big into games lol.
I think your best bet is looking for slower games, like turn based RPGs, Portal is also really fun.

There are a couple of ways, atm I've resigned myself to doing all my dithering outside of Blender. But I'm waiting to see if a good dithering plugin that's currently in the works comes out.

Sadly doing it manually means if I wanted to animate in that style, I'd have to dither it frame by frame lol.

It's always fun thinking about this kinda thing with characters that have... unconventional appendages. So far most of my OCs have normal limbs, but looking at stuff like this really makes me want to try and make some more interesting designs, I just wish it was easier to "sketch" in 3D ( ´ ▽ ` )

Starting out with Blender really is like hopping onto an airplane's cockpit for the first time lol. But once stuff starts to click in your head, it can get addicting, there's soooo much you can do with it, and then you can combine it with other artistic disciplines it's *chef's kiss* ⸜( *ˊᵕˋ* )⸝
