At this point, the ACA protects affluent small business owners ( poor ones can't afford the premiums let alone the deductibles) from losing their business due to medical bills. It also reduces the number of people who get emergency medical services from hospitals but are unable to pay their bill.

The solution to that problem is easy! You flip a coin to choose one, and start writing that novel. Then, once you're tired of it, you stop working on it ever again, and start on that second idea until you discard it, too! It works for me every time!😉

Nz, aus, and Canada are Much more restrictive on immigration than nearly anywhere else in the world by a literal order of magnitude. Not that it's easy(it definitely isnt), but don't look at them and assume everywhere is like that. It's not.
In many ways, I've found making new friends in the unmitigated pandemic easier than it was pre-2020, since people who actually try and avoid Covid infection are already "pre-sorted" as being "likely to be a person I will like and respect", which makes the whole process much easier and reliable
