Claude “democratized” code in the same way that Midjourney “democratized” art, which is to say it didn’t.
Over the past year, every single time one of the apps or services I use suddenly became less reliable and more buggy, I never have to look far for the "Claude is amazing and now writes most of my code" post for the devs involved.
As someone who works in software, I feel the encroachment of LLM-type tools in the workplace and it’s decidedly bad. Short-term: managers have become more confidently incorrect. Long-term: junior coders are getting less hands-on experience, and will mature into less skilled senior engineers.
Europe and the EU are not superpowers, we're middle powers, and in that regard we have way more in common with Iran than we have with the US, and this continuous bootlicking of the United States is going to unravel the EU before we know it - we are on a path of no return, and the no return is now.

There’s something morally grotesque about reporting the words of a genocidal war criminal as if they were uttered from a genuine place of authority rather than from atop a pile of Ukrainian corpses.
Just a few weeks ago, all these European powers spoke of the threat that the US now presents to Europe. They talked about the possibility of Trump attacking Greenland, like it was an imminent and existential danger. Now Trump unilaterally bombs Iran and they all fall in lockstep
