This is your regular reminder that whenever you watch a medical drama and a chaplain character just, like, never appears, that's weird.
Chaplains are a constant presence in hospitals. They're considered part of the care team, and it's super odd that (most) medical shows pretend that isn't the case.
I’m sure this is a fine podcast but, 🧼 📦, I hate that so much of the mainline is allergic to the idea of giving something up for Lent. We don’t need to be clever or subversive or “read against the grain” always! It’s actually good to give things up and practice discipline! ⚓️

I agree in principle, and in the words we use among ourselves. But coming from a media background journalists have to be careful in this language. Murder is a determination made by the courts on someone's guilt and culpability. Neutral terms are used until a jury has determined.
