That and Parasite played with genre norms and had taut, brilliant characters in conflict with one another.
Saltburn had the emotional depth of a paddling pool and - Iβll say this again - looked like a flat, fetid, gaudy mess.

As someone who lived a similar experience to the central character, albeit at Durham and without the landed best pal, I just found it simultaneously both personally offensive and totally dull. It had nothing to say except - βoh poors are funnyβ.

Saltburn was a film that made me viscerally angry. A shallow, ignorant piece of poverty tourism delivered by a vapid idiot which looked as gaudy and naff as it played.
