I’m happy to share a few photos from my recent trip to the Atacama Desert. I sequenced them starting with natural landscapes and ended with the lithium mines. The last image of the series not snow but rather pure lithium salts. These works are part of the Rare Earth Series.

'Panorama Madonna,’ 2025 was photographed on the cliff at Panorama Park– a public park with a walkway along a cliff with a seemingly endless landscape of oil fields in Bakersfield, California. I just returned from California, where I took a road trip through the inland oil fields where the earth shakes and the smell of petroleum permeates the air. Growing up in California, I was curious about the ubiquitous offshore oil rigs and Pumpjacks that dot the landscape. I have been wanting to photograph more extraction sites in the US, where I was raised.
