If someone messages you with a discord (usually formatted as 'discord: (username)' then deletes their message, message the person you ORIGINALLY commented on asking if that was them! Be scammer aware, and be safe!

Just a heads up that I only add people for comms on discord via DM, or through Ko-fi. I will never give information out publicly! Every single one of my accounts has the same name, bar FA which is missing an S so double check that my name, if contacted, is rooklinqs (with a q)

I asked the victim to link me directly to that Google drive and it went straight to you which is how I found to contact you!

If anyone knows of good ways to report scammers, or know of any influencers, popular furries that would love to cover this sort of topic about a big scammer, please let me know!

- ONLY SEND MONEY THROUGH SERVICES THAT SHOULD COVER YOU! Make sure you ask to do it via an invoice so its a contract, this goes for artists too!
- If in doubt, search their name on Google + Socials in the event people have already started spreading the word!

- Ask for examples of their art, especially if they add YOU on discord. Reverse image search the images they send you, check for signatures or watermarks that match up.
- Check their account, both on socials and discord. Is it new? Check what their replies are to commission posts.

🧵 To people who are wanting to commission others: be safe and sure with who you are commissioning.
- Make sure you confirm with the artist you are talking to that it is them before talking off site. If talking on site check their other social media and contact there if you want to be extra sure.

No worries at all! I cant stand scammers so if I can help I will! Definitely ask for some past work of their and try to reverse search it/see if theres inconsistencies- you can always try and contact the people who drew the art for confirmation as well but if it comes to different artists its a scam

You could ask them for previous clients of theirs or ask for other work they've done etc, and what you can do is reverse image search the art and see if it belongs to them. Thats what I've done before with scammers! Paypal has a limit of 180 days
