if you or her don’t like them, you can always find other doctors in network. ive never heard of insurance dictating what provider you get to see outside of just who they have contracts with.

if they’re passionate about primary care they’ll be a good doctor. they have the option to only do inpatient 14 days a month instead of dealing with insurance bullshit lol

internal medicine doctors do have to do some outpatient clinic during residency. they can sometimes specialize in primary care if they want. there is no primary care residency, the closest would be family medicine which sees children as well as adults.
