Never underestimate the power of the Pittsburgh Pirates to squander talent before trading it away, probably to a divisional rival.
Remember last year when a couple farm economists here said that 2025 would be a "once in a generation" year for calf/cattle farmers. Clearly, that played out.
Will be curious to see how this affects bank transferable points cards (Chase Sapphire, AmEx Rewards, etc.)
Have to think one of the goals for airlines is to eat into some of that.
George watching the coming by-election in Terrebonne...
Really appreciate @erikamcentarfer.bsky.social defending the work of the agency she was unfairly fired from, thatβs what you want from a dedicated public servant.
YES! And itβs named Parrot! (Like the cannon!)

Me at Fort Sumter:
What, like itβs hard?
How NoDak/Sioux Falls and the one seed in Loveland get treated will be interesting.
Since UNO is the Sioux Falls host, do you put priority on attendance or protecting the higher #1 seed?
Big Cold is out there, and itβs either play or get played.
Man, the Kootenays and Canadian Rockies are God's Country.
Remember going to Banff with my wife a couple years ago. She looks up and just says "It's better than the pictures."

Highly recommend reading @anneapplebaum.bsky.social "Autocracy, Inc."
Long story short: lots of intelligence sharing, defense contracting (add North Korea in here), highly subsidized oil, disinformation networks, etc.
Former BLS commissioner Bill Beach says the agency has lost 25% of its staff since January. 40% of leadership positions are vacant. And DOL leadership βdoes not seem to support the Bureau.β

Loved this! Can only hope you had some breakfast at The Pancake Shop and a beer at Superior Bathhouse while you were there.
Found @espnbillc.bsky.social old SP+ sheets, and here's the FCS ratings for before Eck, Eck and after Eck (minus the title game)
2021: -3.9
2022: 13.6
2023: 14.2
2024: 11.1
2025: 1.1
They were back down in FCS by the time Eck started in Moscow. So only one season of FBS data at New Mexico.
You have a codeshare with Alaska, didnβt really do much Trans-Pacific connecting with their fliers. Now Delta has a hub in SEA and Alaska is starting its own Trans-Atlantic and Trans-Pacific flights after it acquired Hawaiian.
The strategy out West makes no sense.
Youβve got a hub out of LAX, but so does everybody else. So you canβt control pricing like at CLT or DFW.
The one hub you have (PHX) is almost entirely domestic and competing with Southwest.
Would love to see number of/yds surrendered on def holding/illegal contact/PI penalties. A consistent issue with this defense, and he seems to have a higher rate of penalties above replacement in this department.
Feel like two other underrated aspects were the lack of fortress hubs relative to competitors and focus in the fortresses they have on domestic/Latam vs Europe.
Taking their eye off the ball on PHL and de-emphasizing Europe flights and connections there feels like a massive own goal.
More of a curiosity, what happens to Cignettiβs value add when you add in his JMU tenure?
Well, cookbook club at the local library was an absolute delight tonight
When done properly, the first part of the pour is absolutely mesmerizing.
And the rumors are true, it does taste better in Ireland.
Clearly a one-time write off for the Michigan football coaching search budget
Not in the screenshot, but will be interesting to see what final swing is in Williamson part of district. Could be instructive for potential suburban seats in TX and NC, TX Senate and to a lesser extent some IN seats.
