This is fantastic. I’ve started writing it on windows (with windows pen). I’m wondering how long it’ll be before I’m asked to take it down. The younger kids are also enjoying it now though.

I’ve repeated the phrase “if it’s tricky, draw a piccy” a lot this term. I’m so pleased to see my students using it on their assessments to justify answers/reasoning. I’ve been focusing on graphing technology and multiple representations in my teaching so it’s great to see it having an impact. ☺️
My 5 year old nephew was showing me his cars and asked me which my favourite was. Apparently, choosing number 6 because it’s perfect a good enough reason.
#mathstoday (well yesterday). A colleague saw me playing with this awesome GeoGebra file from @sparksmaths.bsky.social. Led to a great pedagogy discussion and sharing the file with the entire dept. I then used it with my sixth form class who now know understand why tan is the tangent ☺️ #ALevelMaths
I have my #ALevelMaths feed but want to ask some KS3 advice (around assessment). Any suggestions of feeds to follow/ask? Thanks.
Thanks Integral (@meimaths.bsky.social) this followed by Teddy Bear (Underground Maths) created a brilliant lesson focussed on problem solving, reasoning discussion, and method efficiency! Great as part of a dept meeting too! #alevelmaths

So many great ideas!
Also with coffee since I remember it being suggested that caffeine (and cake) powers maths!
Smashing the preconception that maths is a collection of unrelated ideas. Or that there is a single linear route through the specification. #ALevelSummerSchool

Multiple representations in practice and proof without words! #AMSPSummerSchool
Discussion in A Level classroom isn’t easy. Lots of thoughts about its benefits and how to facilitate it effectively. #AMSPSummerSchool
Great to see so many fantastic questions and conversations about how dynamic geometry can be used to deepen understanding. #AMSPSummerSchool.
Very excited to be on my way to #AMSPSummerSchool with @vwheelhouse.bsky.social. Looking forward to meeting lots of new teachers and lots of #ALevelMaths.
