okay so I meet the true end reqs and get the true end but they still don't show up.

apparently there's a BUG where they just don't show up if you've carried all your characters to NG+??? so I just have to start all over anyway without carrying characters and I wasted like ten hours for nothing 🫠

loaded one of my NG+ saves that was around the story section with the DLC characters and went from there. apparently they have lots of scenes across the story, but I later read that some are only on the true end route. soooo had to restart from that save again-

not to my knowledge, though tbf even i get worried about the 5ish tags I usually put on my videos wondering if that’s somehow a spammy amount

thinking about monday and/or wednesday nights since those are the days I’m in the office and so realistically I don’t get to play a ton on my own time those days anyway. might as well stream something instead

yeah I completely neglected to pick up the God Eater and Nitroplus DLC characters since they can only be gotten at certain points during the story, and I completely forgot about them by the time I actually enabled the DLC whoops. so I'm going back to get them and checking them out now

VIIR is a wild combination of decisions that make me think "why the fuck would they ever do this" and also ones that make me think "wait that's such a cool idea they're cooking"

not only do you heal after every battle, but the entire game runs on one save file. no more manual saving. it’s all auto saves.

that comes with its own issues BUT in regards to difficulty, it auto saves after every single battle, so there’s not even a consequence to dying lmaooo

thinking about how Makai Kingdom will actually be the first truly new SRPG i play from NIS in quite a long time. I played both Disgaea 6 and a good bit of Phantom Brave back in 2024, before picking Phantom Brave back up. (unless you also count ZHP? which was still late 2024). so I'm hella excited
