I often go places where I'm out of my age bracket. Cloth and yarn stories, plant nurseries, antique stores (though I'm aging into all the above) & old folks would stop & chat all the time pre covid. I'm mostly homebound, I get not socializing much. Being friendly can absolutely make someone's day.

I'm writing chapter 3 and just set up a joke I will use in book 8 or somewhat. (I never know where most book breaks will be in the story.) This is why I super duper outline. To tell a joke that I won't know if it's funny until like 10 years. All writers are perfectly sane why do you ask?
Online activism can be activism. Plenty of organizers are disabled people working from their couches and beds. They organize phone banks, call politicians, help raise funds, etc. I get you about just yelling about things not helping. But that's absolutely not everything that's being done online.

I was good at reading as a kid but all I was ever given were slice of life books which I find incredibly dull. Then I found the Animorphs & I started picking out winter coats by if they'd fit in the pockets. I swear 1/2 my sense of humor is based on them &they play a big role in how I write stories.
I have 9 documents open while I draft. Outlines, character reference, worldbuilding, magic system, notes, a timeline I build as a draft because I'm not making that mistake twice.
I'm 2 chapters and 6,395 words in. Scooting along in the Drops of Gold series.

When I was jaundiced, barely standing using a cane, and literally dying of Lyme disease before I was diagnosed, people would tell me I looked good because I'd lost so much weight because I could barely move or eat. That snapped my last bit of carrying about what people think about how I look.
Yup. Just got both my dogs vaccinated for Lyme. Not currently available for humans though. Because capitalism.

Yeah I was probably on antibiotics way too long too. But the doc that put me on them was the only one willing to do anything but let me die, so...yeah. She also had Lyme. Most of my family had Lyme to a much milder degree. Turns out we lived in a "Lyme Epicenter". My other villain origin story is-
Ugh I got nap attacked by POTS for...a few hours? I don't even know. I do not feel fabulous.
Nap attacks are when the brain blood & oxygen levels drop enough I'm forced to sleep without actually passing out. It is extremely less pleasant than actual sleep & often involves nightmares/hallucinations.
I was glad to see him running. Even Republicans have voted for him for governor and he's a known name to anyone paying attention here. He's stood up for the right thing against other NC politicians. If someone can beat out an NC republican, it's him.

I didn't know it was primary election day here in NC, but it is, so I just did the research. I like 1 candidate more than another for senate but he has no experience whereas the other has been elected in a Republican leaning state as governor for years & has a better chance at the seat. I hate that.

My standard poodle also sleeps in the middle of the bed where I would like to sleep. The bed is so big to them why do they not scoot over? 😆 I do get to hug her though. But like, I could hug her a little further away from me falling off the edge of the mattress.
5.5 hours in and the migraine has mostly calmed down and I feel weeeeird. It's migraine prevention injections tomorrow. 3 shots that hurt like slow bee stings but I love them for they are full of magic. About 3 days up to the refill date suck though.
