It's time for another visit to The Confessional! This week, Brian and Pat touch on films like 'Return to Silent Hill,' Dead of Winter,' 'Psycho Killer' and many more. Things are said that can never be taken back (mostly by Pat) and some critical corrections are made. Tune in!
We had a lot of fun stretching the limits of our format in our recording today. But honestly, it may be one of our best episodes yet! We hope you enjoy it when it drops next Friday.

Brian wrote about the behind the scenes story of Bride of Frankenstein for @bloody-disgusting.com. Give it a read for the bumpy journey to this masterpiece.
And while you’re at it, give our latest episode a listen where we dive into the spiritual imagery and themes of the movie.
I have to admit, I was like @horrordad.bsky.social when I saw this as a kid. I didn't get it -- the deviation from the original's tone, the comedic elements, the subtext, etc. It was only when I watched as an adult that it finally clicked, and now I appreciate it for what it truly is: ingenious.

If you're not listening to Holy Terrors pod you are missing out. The most nuanced discussions of religion in horror, and not just Christianity. They're gonna cover some weird stuff too and I'm really excited for a fresh take on this topic. No one's doing it like them.

0% on the Tomatometer. Well, maybe this is one I’m seeing so you don’t have to. Or maybe I’m just desperate to get to the theater after a couple weeks away. Whatever the case…I’m going in. Wish me luck.
Time to dish! Today on @holyterrors.bsky.social we're launching a new bi-weekly series called "The Confessional," where we talk about what movies and books have been assaulting our eyeballs as of late. Click the link below!

Celebrate by listening to our latest episode on The Burbs!
Since it's Valentine's Day, I thought I'd repost this piece I wrote a little while ago to mark my wife and I's tenth wedding anniversary. She's the best partner a guy could ever ask for, and I'd literally be in a ditch somewhere if she wasn't in my life.

Last year, I also celebrated what I think is the definitive scene in the FRIDAY THE 13TH franchise because, in this moment, a legend was born: from-the-desk-of-the-horror-chick.ghost.io/lets-talk-ab... #Fridaythe13th
Really cool Valentine’s Day piece from @brianwaves42.bsky.social, in which he pens a love letter to horror's fictional vision of Seattle:
Seattle is back in the movies! Or at least a version of it is. In my latest for @bloody-disgusting.com I wrote about what a recent crop of horror movies get right and wrong about the Emerald City and why I love them anyway.
