We apply this approach to the nexus of constitution-making and peace mediation, highlighting that many tensions between the two processes are manageable with diligent analysis and dilemma management strategies. Also, the potential for synergies is larger than often thought.
In conflict contexts, third parties with different values, skills, and expertise come together to work on closely interlinked topics - the HDP nexus is only one example. 🔁 *Within* the civil war conflict zone, local conflicts are almost absent due to the massive disruption of everyday life and rebel governance. Importantly, these developments feed back into the civil war by overall strengthening the insurgents. 4/5
