I haven't gotten far yet but am truly loving this one so far. It's my first Stephen King read ever, I saw it being recommended to Stranger Things fans so often I just had to pick it up 👀

There's a point, well below a billion dollars, where the amount of money you have lets you rid yourself of anyone who can be a check on your worst impulses, and replace them with people who tell you those worst impulses are somehow valorous. Rare is the billionaire with someone to tell them "no."

Teddy, a fluffy, tan puppy looks at you while perched on a white comforter. his front feet are folded respectfully. it is hard to tell what the shape of his cute face is through all the floof.

This is Teddy. Despite his name, he is not actually a teddy bear that has come to life. Just happens to be an exceptionally soft and cute and cuddly little guy. 13/10 (IG: teddytheduke)

Advantage about wearing braids to go for a run when it's so cold you need a hat: You don't have that annoying bump under your hat that a ponytail gives you. ✅

Disadvantage: You look like a total goof ❌

That's a bit of a stretch because in Germany we don't really have the exact same insane culture war that Derek is referring to here.
But it's similar in the sense that the prevailing discourse always looks for an innocent "enemy" to blame for people's material struggles. It's incredibly distracting.

Framing it today. My hope is that if my grandma puts it up close to a light source, it'll be sparkly (due to the stickers) to balance out how dark the leaves and the purple petals are :( To be fair the petals were that color even when fresh on the hydrangea bush so what was I supposed to do. 🥲

I still wanted to show you guys the finished thing. Not very happy with it.
After the last update, I added writing ("grandma's hydrangeas" lol), glittery golden stickers around it, wooden ladybugs, a few more petals, and leaves. #art
The leaves were the worst decision IMO, they turned out so dark. 😵‍💫

Good. The word can't become stigmatized and looked down on soon enough.
