From now on, we in Europe should start focusing on Europe. Let the US throw food at each other without the audience. I'm going to get involved more in local culture and communities. #europe #USA

Arguably Spotify is just paid piracy with a middle man taking all the money since they don't pay artists.
I recommend looking into OPUS. Its what I've been using to store music on my phone. Compared to MP3 it has better audio quality, so you can lower the bitrate even lower if you want for the same quality, or do the same bitrate as MP3 and enjoy higher quality.
On bluesky at least, in moderation you can add muted words. So just write Trump there.
If it ever stops working, there is always Libre office.
Thanks! Sounds like an interesting premise. Is it based on a real story?
I was spared from the worst of it. My country's lockdown was mild, and i was studying in a small town with lots of nature, so we almost didn't notice!
Really loved the first half of it. It got a little bit silly towards the end but it was still cool.
One of my favorite books!
Been listening to this a lot lately! Really really nice record.
Reading 2 books atm. First one is "Less is more: how degrowth will save the world". The second one is Lolita. I started reading it a few years ago but stopped because of the controversial nature. Now i felt ready so picked it up again. It's horrible, but at the same time so well written. Great book.
Iirc i started it before the pandemic and finished it during it. Was quite a ride!
Vashti Bunyan - Just Another Diamond Day
This album is like being a kid again. Your mother is hugging you, saying everything will be ok.

Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
Everything Everywhere All at Once
Severance: its a series but really good!
Jag ville nyligen sΓ€tta tΓ€nderna i filosofi och stΓΆtte pΓ₯ en bra introduktion pΓ₯ ca 100 sidor. Rekommenderar starkt!
"What does it all mean?" - Thomas Nagel
It was definitely helpful. Looking forward to listening to those too. I love getting recommendations from here. They always seem so meaningful. You're welcome to share more in future posts (and this one of course) Thank you, you have a great 2025 too!
Really enjoyed that. Really great for those days you need something calm but also interesting! Thanks!
Nice I'll give it a listen! Thanks!
Great book! Recursion by Blake is also really good! And Replay by Ken Grimwood.
There is nothing I can say about this album that hasn't already been said. It's just a masterpiece. Nothing I have listened to can top it. It is everything.
100/100
Can anyone recommend something that can even remotely compare?

Actually same the first time i listened to it. The latter half was more exciting imo. Should probably give it a 2nd spin. Pool was also pretty cool but its hard to beat Compro. Dont want to push anything on you but im working on an album if you're interested. Get if you're busy. Merry Christmas!
It's so good! This year has had so many good albums that i don't even know where to begin. Maybe I'll do a year list next year haha.
To be frank, you shouldn't rely on people to summarize people and important books for you. That's how we get tribe mentalities. You do not know if the person summarizing it has your best interest in mind. If you want to form an opinion, read his books yourself.
I'm inclined to agree with Urban though. The issue definitely needed attention. But im not sure this killing will give the outcome that is hoped for.
I hope so too. Thanks for indulging me and have a great day!
I support that, but what if i don't have any family members to care for me? And the system is so swamped that they can't help me? Is it impossible to find equilibrium with nature at the current population size? Even if we stop infinite growth?
Some say it'll stop at 11 billion . We'll see.
I agree there. The rich has to be taxed way harder. But who will work in elderly care if we don't have enough kids? Who will physically do the work? I probably wouldn't want a robot to take care of me at that age.
Currently reading Less is More by Jason Hickel. Curious to see if he brings this up.
Im in the midst of changing my opinion about a lot atm. I agree we dont need more people to be exploited. In this case, people would bring up that a balanced birth rate is needed so that when we are old, there are people working to support us. Im curious, do you see another solution to that?
Nice! I saw them on my birthday during the Hellfire tour. They played in a small room and it was packed. I was completely drenched in sweat afterwards. I somehow started talking to the bassist outside after the gig. Super nice guy! Hoping Geese does a similar smaller gig.
