Your'e possibly missing the point here.
It is not the fact that one becomes liable for tax after a certain income level is reached, it is the fact that that income level is being held constant while inflation increases which forces the lowest income people into paying tax on less relative income.

I took the time to read the Green Party's manifesto this morning.
