I did some of that by playing mobile games on my tablet. Although after the Monument Valleys and Vampire Survivors, I am back here again. But you're right, I need to seek for something else truly new

Thanks for sharing and best of luck, but yeah let's talk about the real topic.
I'm in the midst of a long gaming slump. Rayman has been the latest bright spot, but now I'm back wondering what to play next.
I could use something to get me excited about games, if you got anything
Here's also my codeberg repo that has the original markdown files that I personally use.
I have used pandoc to convert them to html.
I added a resources section to my website and uploaded my Rayman 1 cage checklists for different ports there. You can use these webpages to track which cages you have collected while playing through the game.
Here's a direct link to the PS1 checklist.
Really, even for beat deaf people like us?
I have tried playing the GBA one, but it was just impossible. I didn't get the rhythm at all. So you're saying I should give this one a try?
Bsky link should work now. I had entered an incorrect url that happened to somehow work on browser but not with the app ๐
Thanks for pointing that out โค๏ธ
Photos on the home page, that's a great idea. I'll have to think about how to best do it.
Bsky link seems to work fine on desktop. On mobile there's something weird and it doesn't open correctly in the app, but works if you force it to open in a browser. I'll look into that some more
Thanks Maude!
I am glad that you liked it.
I have some perfectionist tendencies, so I really just have to go with the flow and write what comes to mind. If I ever stop to think about it and god forbid read what I've already written, I'd just get completely stuck and never finish anything.
Thanks Woods, that really makes me happy to hear.
I will link my blog posts here, so I can use them to continue some thought that just doesn't fit in bsky. So far I have sometimes used the alt text fields for that, but that's just silly.
The game is amazing. It starts kind of tough, but once you get going it's difficult to put down. I don't usually care for farming in video games, but in Sakuna it was ton of fun and very memorable.
I wanted to have a place to write down some longer thoughts than 300 characters. So I created my very own website/blog.
I'm just learning html and css, so there isn't much yet, but you can see some photos and read my first post.
I'd be overjoyed if you gave me some feedback!

Yeah, the Castlevania collection did the same thing.
I thought that I would never be able to beat Castlevania. But after first playing with save states and then with the Japanese easy mode, I was finally able to beat the game normally.
Making difficult games easier to approach is really good
Sometimes my cursed inability to hear the music when I am focused on gameplay is an actual blessing.
Though after several playthroughs on this collection, I now kinda like the new soundtrack. I still prefer the original, but I also like this one.
The collection adding in the rewind feature is really great. That let me experience the game without frustration and then slowly up the challenge as I got more familiar with it.
Also, I am interested to see how I will feel about the speed of the PAL version. That's of course what I used to play as a kid, but now after getting so used to the collection running the NTSC version, it might be quite disorienting. We'll see.
I still want to go and do a playthrough on the original version on CRT. I have the game and the console, but I am not planning on losing any more discs to my peckish PS2. So I think I'll have to wait for my Superstation to arrive.
Coming back to the game and this time really learning it, just feels amazing. I can now remember where all the cages are and I'm not intimidated of its difficulty anymore. Now it's just another fun game to enjoy, as it should be.
Rayman was one of the first games, alongside with Jazz Jackrabbit and Commander Keen, that I fell in love with as a child. Of course I didn't beat the game back then, and later on I've only finished the DSi version and Redemption.
I've been off bsky spending all my free time playing Rayman with the new 30th Anniversary collection.
I've now beaten the game 8 times, if I counted correctly. And even managed to complete the PS1 version without any continues!
I hope you will share the game forward and let some other poor soul experience the hell that this game is. It's too good to be forgotten
As someone who played through this game in two weeks while doing a full-time job, I say don't marathon rpgs
Measured 3 grams of dry leaves
Steeping the leaves in a gaiwan
Leaf placed on the gaiwan lid
Anji Baicha (ๅฎๅ็ฝ่ถ)
Such a comforting and warming tea on a cold winter day
I don't know about the other versions, but the holographic cover on PS2 was insanely rad
My dumbass moved the teapets away for no good reason before taking the photo. But here they are
The leaves are pleasantly dark brown with almost golden buds mixed in. The dry leaves have a sweet and heavy apple-like aroma.
Tea poured out of the gaiwan. The taste is pure and clear. Fruity, some rosehip, and wood, fresh birch. Clearly a hongcha, but interesting comparisons to shoumei and dong fang mei ren. Sweet at first, but turns dry and sweet again in aftertaste. Feels thick and warming
Chocolate colored wet leaves after steeping
Lichuan Hong (ๅฉๅท็บข)
I wish I knew how to take photos and stop my phone applying whatever PS3-era pissfilter this is. Anyway the freezing air and frosted trees at least provide some healing after a rough day at work.
Walking home from work

Really? I only have my phone and I often think that the quality must be embarrassingly bad. I don't even understand any of the settings ๐
But thanks, hearing that makes me really happy
I have ordered some for a test, but still waiting. Excited to see if I can feel any effects. I rarely notice any calming or stimulating effects on tea
PC version on GOG is the best, but the NSO should be just fine. I don't have it, so no first hand experience though
