If unity didn’t have its job system and burst compiler I literally wouldn’t touch it.

This internal monologue shits exhausting. Spent the morning writing a script, my social battery is now empty and I've only been talking to myself.

You should peg a coconut at those teammates and watch their body turn into a beyblade as they reach terminal velocity.

Low Poly Pixel Art - Devlog #7
Low Poly Pixel Art - Devlog #7 YouTube video by Alex Figar

Whoops accidentally spent a month creating low poly pixel art materials in blender instead of doing actual work...

This PBR, procedural, pixel art... thing is working better than expected.

The level looks ugly but all those rivets are expressed using just a normal map and the base color texture is procedural.

It really depends on what software you use frequently.

For me it took about 4 weeks.

I still occasionally run into something annoying (like Davinci Resolve not playing nice with AAC) but it’s been pretty good for the last 6 months.

Finally ditched Adobe as well.

I've been playing around with some procedural pixel art materials in blender. Got something looking kind of like rusty metal.

Even if I did want it, with the amount of power it consumes I just don’t see how it will ever be a viable alternative to actual people.

I want more headsets that let you flip up the screen. Such a hassle when tryna make small changes to a scene.

I reckon alot of fantasy music could be turned into sci-fi if you just replace the lutes with electric guitars.

The environmental design of Caves of Qud has beautiful moments of symmetry and again a powerful color palette.

Cave's of Qud released yesterday after 15 years of development and I am completely enthralled by the visual work on display here. The info density, palette, and visual artifacts hitting on all cylinders in both the menu system and the environmental design of the gameplay. It's fucking good
